Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SOS NeuroGround application and website (the "Service"), operated by SOS NeuroGround("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, purchasing lifetime access, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

SOS NeuroGround is a self-help tool for emotional regulation and nervous-system reset. It guides you through short exercises (Stop, Breathe, Orient, Choose) and related modules (Anchoring, See, Reframe, Library, Journal). It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, therapy, or a substitute for professional mental-health care. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a qualified clinician.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) and able to enter into a binding contract. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

3. Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
  • Send spam or attempt to defraud or harass other users;
  • Infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights;
  • Interfere with the Service's security, probe, scan, scrape, deploy malware, or attempt to gain unauthorized access; or
  • Reverse-engineer, resell, redistribute, or circumvent technical limits.

5. Intellectual Property

SOS NeuroGround owns all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including software, content, design, copy, and brand assets. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal use, subject to these Terms.

Any content you create in the Service (e.g. journal entries) remains yours. You grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the Service to you.

6. Pricing, Payment, and Merchant of Record

SOS NeuroGround is offered with a free tier plus a one-time lifetime unlock of $5 USD for premium features. Prices are shown at checkout in your local currency where supported.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, taxes, invoicing, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms. Our own refund policy is described at /legal/refunds.

7. No Warranty / Service Level

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages (loss of profits, data, goodwill). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content, your misuse of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for: material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Where reasonable, we will notify you first. You may stop using the Service at any time.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends. You may request export or deletion of your personal data as described in our Privacy Notice.

11. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Courts in Romania have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence.

13. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, internet outages, governmental action, labor disputes, etc.).
